Senior Election Official Opportunity
Applications are now being accepted for the position of Senior Election Official (SEO) for the Rossburn Municipality.
The SEO is responsible for the overall municipal election process. Duties include: appointing election officials; updating the voter’s list; receiving and verifying the candidate nominations; establishing and equipping the voting places; preparing public notices of elections; printing the ballots; establish date and location for advance voting; establish mobile voting stations at health care facilities; overseeing all aspects of the election on election day; and complete an official tally and declare official results.
The ideal applicant would have strong organizational and communication skills and some election experience. However, training and a detailed manual, plus help from the municipal office is available.
