Recreation, Development & Resort Administrator

Part-Time (2-3 days per week)

Rossburn Municipality is seeking an individual to fill the position of the Recreation, Development & Resort Administrator as part of our Municipal Administrative team.

General Responsibilities:

·        Responsible for organizing recreational activities, programs, and the overall management of facilities in the Rossburn Municipality.

·        Responsible for development and planning initiatives including interpretation of the Development Plan and Zoning By-Law when inquires are made, assisting applicants with development, building and demolition permits and all other administrative tasks related to development.

·        Responsible for the administrative duties related to resort operations including lease preparation, maintenance of the resort/camping waitlist and assisting contractors to ensure quality service at our resort areas.

 

Qualifications:

·        Working knowledge of various software programs or willingness to train in Word, Excel, Outlook, Munisoft and All-Net (Catalis Programs)

·        Knowledge of applicable legislation, acts, statues and regulations or the ability to research applicable legislation, acts, statutes and regulations

·        Proficient verbal and written communication skills

·        Possess excellent public relations skills

·        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment

·        Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

·        Possess good time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload.

 

Educational Requirements:

·        High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years related experience and/or training.

·        Business Administration Diploma/Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·        Degree or diploma in recreation or economic development and experience in a municipal administrative or recreation position would be considered an asset.

 

Wage will be dependent on qualifications and experience.  A full job description is available upon request.

 

The successful candidate, upon employment will also need to provide a completed Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse, Vulnerable Persons & Adult Abuse Registry Check.
